The Grind of a musician....
I haven't been doing this for 30 years... Hell, I haven't even done this long enough to see any evolution from any music genre unless it was Hip-Hop. The unique thing about this is, Mobley doesn't really belong in any specific category. His brand is himself, and his music is his own. His artwork, he creates. He produces and writes his own music. His live performance is one of the most unique, and crowd capturing performances you'll ever see. He will LITERALLY make you a part of his song/show. Its great.
What people don't see is the daily grind of these musicians. This is different from arriving at a venue and setting a mic stand. This man and his partner in crime, deserve much more than a traditional round of applause. I had the privilege of getting to shadow them during one of the most popular, largest and well known music festivals in the country- SXSW 2018. Over 20+ shows, sometimes more than 2 in a day, multiple venues, the traffic, putting up, tearing down, the late nights, early mornings, and all the in between. I can only imagine how they're feeling right now...
This man works his ass off. And he does it for you. The listener. He does it because he's one of the few that can. Most of all he does it because he IS music.
I hope the photos you see capture the hard work, love and dedication that is put into his music. These artists have gifts... Sit down, take some time and unwrap one. You'll be amazed at what you find. This is Mobley. A REAL musician.
